David Dufty: Charles Todd's Magnificent Obsession
At the August meeting of the Kiama Historical Society, David Dufty spoke about his new book Charles Todd's Magnificent Obsession: the epic race to connect Australia to the World, which is the story of the first telegraph line from Adelaide to Darwin.
This was a joint presentation with the Friends of Kiama Library and David was introduced by Gordon Bell from the Kiama Historical Society, and thanked by Perrie Croshaw from the Friends of Kiama Library.
